The weird thing is we're supposed to be +6 by Monday. 41°C/74°F swing in 5 days, that's insane.

In South Australia and western Australia it can reach 40°c which is boiling, I'd rather deal with that than the freezing cold you guys get

I know, just those southerners are weak when it comes to the cold. You'll see them, esp the blacks, in parkas when it drops below +15C.

I'm near Calgary, we're having similar cold weather as you. I'm sure there have been a few bumsicles.

ill be in my man cave at some point doing the same.
last time i made a fire in the stove,i did up some burgers and dogs on it in a cast iron skillet.
