There was docu about the 'flying doctors' on TV here who give medical support to the people in the outback. It's a while ago and was worth a watch.
The camera team had to have their cars/supplies checked by the authorities before they were allowed to go in this area.

Flying Docs do a stella job here mate. They also have a 24hr radio support as well as fly in fly out pick ups for the the hospitals. there is heaps of cattle stations here that are over a million acres .

News says big storm coming. Temps might drop into low 40s,, maybe even 3/4 inch rain,! so terrified!! This part of Calif has two seasons...drip and dry. Boring as shit.
