That's a great refutation of the "just world fallacy", bravo! You're thinking of Murphy's Law, or the Second law of Thermodynamics which explains how disorganization (entropy) is the most stable form of existence, meaning everything has a tendency to break. The likelyhood of everything going to plan is rare, even if its simple, because entropy is constantly working in the background to break something. For example, a stress fracture the width of a human hair caused by a slight temperature or pressure imbalance can lead to a chain reaction of destruction ultimately destroying an airplane and anything below it. A cosmic particle has enough energy to flip a 1 to a 0 in a computer - destroying an entire program (responsible for computer crashes and data corruption). You drive to work to make money only to crash your car on the way there because there was ice, you hit some other car and the driver is killed, the family files suit and you're left bankrupt all because the temperature that day was one degree colder than it should have been for ice to form on that road - entropy did the rest - turning the cars and the people inside of them into pieces... but I digress 🤣
