Calling those things dogs is a disgrace: stubby legs, fat bodies, and pressed in faces - humanity has inflicted no end of genetic horrors on the domesticated dog. Compare those malformed things to a Labrador Retriever, Bloodhound, or a Border Collie - those are real dogs.

I actually learned to swim at Peterhead Swimming Pool - many hundreds of miles away from the English Channel.

Of course I would go in, readily and easily. However, allow me to preface that with the fact that I wouldn't own five dogs and a pool without a cover and/or a protective childproof fence for winters you know, an ounce of prevention and all.
