So, this fucking 'conjuring up new genders' thing. What are we fucking doing.
Language is intended to be a common medium of communication between a given group, such as a country. Within that group its usual for subgroups to exist, with their own argot. People into rap are forever coming up with their own slang. Gangsters do, in fact most cliques will have their own terms and language to some extent. It helps delineate the group and give it some substance.
You also find this creating of sub languages within couples, and kids do it a lot. Some kids create languages entirely their own.
So here is the deal. Me and my hypothetical missus have our lovey dovey talk. In private, I am no longer Mr Pants, instead I am Buttercup Diddums. And the missus is not Mrs Pants, rather Angelcake Lowdown. We are quite happy talking shit like that at each other in private.
But now, I decide that I want the world to stop referring to me as Mr, and start referring to me as Buttercup. And I'm gonna get way offended if you don't – to the point that I'm going to get the government and police involved, and force others to heed my rather vapid and pointless desires.
Now, I am expecting the other 7.6 billion people on the planet, to kowtow to the wishes of me and the missus. It's only nice, right? Now 7.6 billion people got to keep track of what I want to be called. And not only that, they have to keep track of what the other 7.6 billion people want to be called too.
This isn't a completely unrealistic scenario at all, is it.
Gender IS the state of being one of the 2 sexes, male or female, look it up. Once you start conjuring up other genders, it destroys the function of the term gender. The same as number 4 is not a colour – it's a fucking number and no amount of being offended is going to change that without destroying language. You have a cock, or a twat. Some people have both, sure. But you can't start inventing genders and expect people to keep track of your fantasy world, in the same way different groups of people can't start inventing new numbers. It would undermine the number system, and make that system thereon non-functional as a common means of communicating those concepts. Beyond your 5 minutes of attention-whoring, that is helpful to anyone, how?
Just because Facebook panders to you and adds 98 new genders, does not mean it's right. If you want to be gender fluid or some other shit – that is your sexuality, not your fucking gender.
If you want to be Snowflake instead of Mr, do what every other group on the planet does. Hang out with people who feel the same way you do, and conduct yourselves as you wish. Then you can all keep track of your own group, call yourselves what you want, nobody will mind and nobody will care. But I expect that is the point. If nobody cares, then nobody is getting attention. And, you have nothing to get angry / feel superior about. And ultimately, that is what this whole non-binary gender shit is all about.
This group complain that society is hard on them, and their options are limited. Well, way to go Einstein. ANY subgroup within a society, that acts or behaves differently from the mother society, is likely to be viewed as 'outsider'. The reason for a society in the first place, is that we are on the same page, think more or less the same way, have similar values, and therefore can feel safe in our local environment. People coming in who clearly do not share our general philosophy or conduct, is a potential threat. Maybe that person feels quite ok with killing people or stealing your shit. Ergo, outsiders always have, and always will, be viewed with suspicion. If you don't want to limit your options, simply don't make a big song and dance about how different you are from everyone else.
So there's you lot, feeling hard done by, by society. Way to get society on side, by forcing society to behave as you would fantasize about. You think the hate, the beatings and the lack of opportunity will go away? Dream on. Do the things that result in hate, hate will simply find other ways to deal with you. No amount of dumb laws or legislation is going to prevent that. You don't even want to know what I'm into in the bedroom. But at no point do I wear tshirts about it, and shove it down society's throat, demanding respect. No, what I am into is my business, and my business alone.
