I once sold a $1,200 phone to someone and told them to buy a case for it, the cheapest was just $20. They refused to buy any case at all and just left the store with it in hand - over a city made of concrete. He came back to the store the next day, the phone was shattered all over, litterally glass dust was coming off the screen and he couldn't put it to his ear because it would cut him. So he told me he wanted me to put a screen protector on it so at least it wouldn't cut him anymore, and he bought the $20 case too. Stupid people man.

And for @yotgguitar calling me a liar here is a picture of one of my stores and a similar receipt to the phone I sold that the customer broke, and yes they are old photos from when I managed Verizon Wireless locations in NYC pre-Covid. And this was not in the least the stupidest thing a customer did by far. And before you say, oh the receipt is only for $54 you must remember, this man was FINANCING the phone, which means he was paying for 2 YEARS the $1,200 for a phone he broke on day 1! 🤣
