Law enforcement agencies generally prefer to follow the facts of the case rather than interpret crime scenes trying to make educated guesses about the offender. Profiling is a possible tool in the shed but not every tool is needed for every job.

Are you fucking stupid? Read what I wrote. Generally old fashioned detective work is favored over the art of profiling but that's not saying both aren't tools used together. And your nonsense about "gritty shit" has nothing to do with anything. We're not talking about graphic crime scene photos or videos. No need to get rude.
You should follow your own advice about REREADING.
When did I ever mention crime scene photos or videos? I didn't.

And you clearly missed my point about "FBI websites" that you use as a reference.

Again you didn't answer my question..

Do you have any experience in law enforcement?
What do you do for a living?

Here's one: Name some gritty details that are so super secret it's kept from the public. There's a miscommunication going on so let's start here.

Something specific not "There are way more active serial killers than the media lets on." Gritty details...curious as to what these gold nuggets are.

Miscommunication? Lol that's rich.
You keep ignoring my question..
It's very simple..

Do you have experience in law enforcement? What do you do for a living?

To answer your question.. I do not have permission or a password to log into the FBI database that is separate from what you call the official website..a PUBLIC website.
However, like I've stated before I have family and close friends who have..past and present. One being my Dad..you know the one who you claimed knows nothing.
Never has anyone I know personally connected to law enforcement agencies ,Crime scene investigators ,the city or county morgue or lawyers will ever give details out during an active investigation. There are clear cut reasons.

Giving out opinions, reading true crime novels or looking up things on a website is one thing..
Living with and knowing someone who has first hand knowledge is another.
I'm going with the latter..not some random wannabe know it all.

Dana Scully through osmosis doesn't cut it either. Especially since it's more Cagney or Lacey than the former. It's not giving out opinions when taken from one of the leading law enforcement agencies in the world.

I wasn't asking about current investigations. I am asking what information isn't released to the general public as it pertains to the FBI serial murder definition or related. Fact is that information is out there. Trying to obfuscate the issue doesn't work. The whole point was Ed Gein was a serial killer and Charles Manson was not.

Long Island serial killer is interesting since he exists in the age of digital surveillance in one of the most populated areas in the U.S. Yet he's still loose.

Hello,
I have met and worked with criminals for years. I’m a Forensic psychiatrist. We are always struggling with the “mad or bad” business. We don’t usually spend time on whether someone is a serial killer or one time killer. To me, anyone who kills because of some internal compulsion is psychotic. I’m not including the drug cartel murders or economically motivated ones. This does not mean that i’m soft on punishment and am not opposed to the death penalty.
I wish Dahmer had been kept alive because we really needed to study that crazy guy. I think someone has Gacys’ brain too. I’m going to upload a file for you because it is being sold on the net. I have also worked for the Govt. agencies you all have mentioned, but they don’t know that much more than regular police or the Forensic psych community. This file picture is of someone I “know” very well. It’s easy to find on the net. I had a very hard time with this guy.
Btw, I’m totally against letting mentally ill murderers or child molesters loose, EVER.
I knew a few men and women like this. To me , once a killer, always a killer.
Let me know what you think of this guy.

I also wanted to add that it’s considered very unethical to share details about patients even when they are dead.
Almost alll murderers go through psych evaluations because their lawyers try to fight the death penalty. If the state does
not have a death penalty then the murderers’ lawyers look for a mental disease diagnosis. The details of the murders will never
be released to the public. I know what the above daughters looked like because it was my case. But no one else ever will see those pictures.
I know many details of the murders which are too painful for me to recount and would be too painful for you to hear.
It is also disrespectful to the two little girls and their mother. Without identifying patients, one is allowed to write about them.

So they're painful for you to tell us about yet this site is based around extreme depictions of violence. Meaning no details you can share would wrinkle a brow since child sex murders are covered here too visual media included.

Yes, everyone here lacks emotion. You're so right.

Not lack of a emotion, point being we're all adults able to read the gritty graphic details of sexual torture murder regardless of victim type, for example.
