Yeah, the “shoot the guy instead” part is what truly should have happened, in a just world.
This brings to mind a local happening of approximately 20 years ago, but a group of local “youths” i.e. 13-14 y.o. derelicts of the Afro-American persuasion scaled a fence to a local zoo after hours and proceeded to climb into the snow leopard enclosure. After taunting the animal, one of the cretins was “lit up” by the cat and required over 200 sutures. The dumbass mother of the Putz sued the zoo for damages, stating that the zoo wasn’t secure, allowing her precious baby to enter the enclosure. Lawsuit was dismissed. However, if this were to happen today, I’m not so sure that the lawsuit would be dismissed. Perhaps the ruling would be that “white supremacy” caused the “youths” to enter the zoo, and the resulting 35.7 million would rectify that wrong..,,
