People might think I'm weird for watching gore, but I think the people who watch animal cruelty or enjoy the hit show friends are weird, and they think the feet people are weird or something and so on and so forth.

My parents and all the close people think I'm weird and I'm mentally ill for watching gore, my friends call me psycho for liking these kind of videos but I wanted to know who else has the same situation, why do people think we're weird for watching gore? What's the problem if watching gore and liking it? I think it's normal.

It is normal to have an interest in that sort of thing.

I like it more so for the brutal stories behind them and the emotion you can only obtain from seeing the raw stuff. I grew up on murder and crime and horror, so not much phases me gore wise, but I just am a sucker for the stories (or whatever story I can come up with in my head) and visuals of the reality of human nature. We’re all just neural firings and sacks of meat, only better than the meat we eat because our species says so. Part of me enjoys seeing us brought down to an animals level, as it just confirms to me that we are all just animal. Nothing truly special about us, and we all have the capacity to kill and be killed.

It's just fascinating images that we're able to see. It really happens... We would be in the dark about it except for the site...But, no, just...keep it to yourself because once you let a "normal" person know you like to see it, they will never look at you the same way again...I showed some of it to my husband once, because he's my best friend and confidante. He looked at me oddly and asked, "What is WRONG with you? Why would you even WANT to see this...?!". Made me feel like a cockroach...like I should find some rotted wood somewhere to hide in... But, he thoroughly enjoys watching true Crime Scene episodes and forensics shows... And my oldest daughter who took my tablet away with the intention of removing Goregrish.com (a failed attempt), is now an RN nurse in the trauma unit. She literally had to massage a woman's heart who was life flighted in from an accident. She gets paid big bucks for being a participant in gore.... So. Can't win for losing....
