It's hard to say what I am,I definitely don't believe in religion or a god.Its always seemed like a idiotic idea,even as a child and when I asked church people question the answer was always " You just have to believe". Well sorry but I refuse to blindly believe anything without proof.As far as death goes,I believe it all just ends but you cannot destroy energy which is what we are,so that is going somewhere but where is the question.

I was raised Roman Catholic, never really believed in it that much. To me God was kind of just another imaginary figure parents used to keep their kids in line like Santa Claus or The Boogeyman. My parents had me in the CCD classes up until I was 15 or so and got my Confirmation, I hated every second of it. I recall being five or so and sobbing in the church because I was terrified that when I confessed my sins for the first time the priest was going to tell me that I was going to Hell. One of the nuns ended up giving me a little lamb plushie to try to calm me down. It didn’t work.

I went through a phase in my teenage years where I was a Capital A Atheist, hated religion, would taunt others and try to pick apart their beliefs. Nobody was off limits, I was kind of an asshole.

At this point I am somewhere in the middle. I don’t believe in the judeochristian God, I am not religious at all, but I have had some unexplainable experiences that have led me to conclude that there is something after death. Perhaps there is a god(s) but if so I believe it is beyond human understanding.

you don't have to believe in God and all that church bollocks to believe that you can experience consciousness again.

After all it is the church and organized religions who told us we only live one life. There is no evidence you only live once. Just as there is no evidence to the contrary.

Whatever you believe, it is a fact that the universe created your mind from dust and gas particles over billions of years. That is the real miracle. And whatever can happen once can happen several times. That is a basic scientific fact.
So it ain't necessarily lights out after this life. Even if a trillion years goes by before your next conscious experience, you will by definition, not be aware of the wait. You can, by definition, only know and experience consciousness.

For me it was looking at the science of the Earth . If bible said there where dinosaurs then different apes and human types . They might be in with a shot . What happens after death ? More than likely fuck all but there's nothing you can do to stop it ; you won't exist so you won't be able to worry about it .

that's right ! Also no mention of bacterial life in the Bible, but Jesus was supposed to have known about all living things. If he'd opened his mouth about germs think how many lives that would have saved.

Once u learn about history and science it’s obvious religion is man made. Christianity is not unique, it borrows from many of the religions that existed all around the Mediterranean Sea during the Bronze and Iron Age

I don’t believe in a god or anything. I think once you die eveything goes black. Kinda like turning off a computer.
