"At the time, two inspectors and a clerk were in an unmarked car when they were approached by three people who were in a cloned vehicle. The teenager shot at the officers, initiating an exchange of gunfire and was injured," the agency described.

A 17-year-old boy, who was shot in the exchange of gunfire, was apprehended and taken to a health facility under police escort. Against him, an infractional act analogous to the crime of attempted robbery will be recorded. He was already responding to drug trafficking offenses.
