Many years ago the martial arts gym I went to were on a Christmas night out ( I was not there that night ) someone in a bar started on the instructor who made it very clear he wanted no trouble but that was not good enough for the guy who went for the instructor, the tough guy was laid out flat in a couple of seconds.
