Let's talk about steak

what abad luck that i have ! am just eating good steak in chilies resturent , but, at home my wife is not cooking steak right .:(
 
Typically, if a steak is cooked right, you shouldn't need anything on it. Which goes back to searing the steak properly to seal in the juices.
Another important part a lot of people miss is letting the steak rest after it's cooked. If you cut into it as soon as it comes off the grill, there goes all the juices.
Letting it rest allows the meat to re-absorb the juices, and give a succulent steak.

There I go nerding out on cooking again, lol. Wish I had some sort of certification or degree in that, wouldn't mind cooking for a living. I love it.
as well as taking it off the grill a little sooner,because it still keeps cooking itsself....
and ill take mine med rare plz!
 
People that eat steaks well done is what A-1 was invented for. I don't dislike A-1, but if a steak is cooked right, it has more than enough flavor on it's own.
IMO, if you're out, you're wasting you're money on a well done steak, may as well just get a burger.

Lol, not bashing your mom, I'm sure she's great...she just doesn't know how to eat a steak.;)
 
I like it rare with just a little searing either side, I cant eat well done steak it's just something to chew with no flavor at all, I like it swimming in blood with mint sauce, MMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
 
IM A MAJOR CARNIVORE AT LEAST 1 STEAK A DAY AS LONG AS ITS NOT SALSBURY STEAK IM GOOD GOT TO BE SOFT MED/WELL AND SEASONED .......

You can also tell how done it is using the webbing between your thumb and first finger.

It's got to be black and blue, I prefer a filet. Last night I had a bone-in New York, delicious. I'll pick the steak up and eat it with my hands if I'm at home.
