Plans before you die

Before my mom got alzheimers, I sat down at the dining room table with a stack of index cards and asked for all her good recipes we had enjoyed through the years... even to this day, people crave the cornbread dressing at Thanksgiving and Christmas.. I miss my mom...
You will see her again and get to re-live all your times together as if it's the first time doing it. So there's no reason to miss her this is just the time in between seeing her. A short break if you must.

Define a 10, though.
A woman so hot she won't sleep with you. 😂

To cut everyone out of my life. Every single one. Why? I placed way too much importance on them in my life. They aren't even worthy to be in my life or final moments. I just want to be left alone by all of them. I've almost achieved that and I'm not even dying.. yet. I just need to dwell in the gore on sites like this and the dark obscure places in real life. They are my home until I die
Living in a world a strangers will only leave one empty and living a pointless life. Why have experiences if you aren't going to showing them with someone? So if they aren't worthy they don't have value? What are you taking with you when you die that has value? Is you can't take anything with you when you die then this makes everything worthless. All cutting people out of your life shows is that you care what they think about you even if it's in the negative. You will be able to spend plenty of time in a dark obscure place when you die no need to add to it. 😂

That doesn’t make her a 10/10, just means she has good sense. I wouldn’t sleep with me either.
I would sleep with me if I sweetened the pot tho with something like a boat. Does that make me a whore? Maybe but at least I'll be a whore out on the water.

Who hurt you?
Also you couldn't toss a frisbee. Fear is for the weak but look at who I'm talking to about fear, the person who fears the world. Thinking is the hardest work one can engage in and I'm sure you have had a hard day of work ever.

Do you have any life goals you want to accomplish before you die?

For me - I am the cook in my family, it’s always been an interest for me. This year I started a recipe journal for everything that I make, with commentary of what was good, who liked what, alterations, etc.

I am doing this so my family can recreate something they enjoyed that I made, to be remembered.
That is the sweetest thing, My mum was an amazing cook and cake maker, she had loads of recipes handwritten down, and so many books all with little amendments written on them in the borders, my brother had put them all in a skip by the time I arrived when we cleared our parents home. He's a twat. Not sure if you're doing your journal on a PC, but its just nice to handwrite some things. I have my Mums diaries, she kept a diary for over 30 years, they make some hard reading in parts, especially regarding my brother and his lack of giving a shit about her til she was on her last few months.

I keep a little spiral notepad binder in the kitchen and write down what I’m doing. Call me old fashioned.

My son was flipping through it the other day, and asked if I was going to put them onto index cards at some point. Ofc now I will, I’d do anything for that kid 😍

After my mother dies, I hope to move back to the west coast and live near friends, since I will have no close family left. I would love to own a house again, although the market where I'd like to live is terrifying right now. A lot depends on how long I can keep working (I'm 50).

I want to continue writing and publishing. Finish editing the anthology I'm working on and get it published. See my play through to production and hopefully get it published as well. Then maybe complete one of the book projects I have ideas for.

I want to foster cats or kittens again. Need the time and space for it, especially since one of my current cats feels very strongly that he doesn't want other felines in his territory.

No one. You really read into my posts? yet you can't read into your own soul? funny shit. Keep it up buttercup. You are the one that lives in fear of everything since you think you got me all figured out first. Look in the mirror first before coming at anyone with truths. I live on fear and everyones fears. Don't ever try to figure me out. You ain't got the strength and I know that much about you. Dismissed kid. Maybe when you grow an actual pair come at me again. You cease to exist til than. Bye.

Well you sound like a 16 year old who is just starting to get hair on his pair. Only a child would have so much anger which they get pass because they don't understand the world yet. Can't figure out someone who hasn't even figured out themselves. You seem to think you are Niccolo Machiavelli.

I'm late to the party, but it would be pretty cool if you shared a recipe here!

As requested, this is always a big hit and super easy to make.

Carbonara

3 large eggs
10 tbs pecorino romano (or hard parm) grated
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 pkg bucatini noodles (or thick spaghetti noodles)
1/2 lb bacon (or pancetta)
1 tbs black pepper

Salt your water, bring to rolling boil. Cook pasta according to package directions. If pkg says 9 min, I like to remove from heat and let them sit for a few min before removing. Save the pasta water.
Cook bacon until crispy, strain on paper towels and chop/crumble when cooled.
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, pepper, garlic, and half of the cheese until creamy.
To this bowl, add the pasta and rapidly stir until the cheese is melting and sauce becomes smooth from the noodles’ heat/water.
Add in bacon.
Add pasta water as needed to thin the sauce, can tell when it’s right if sauce isn’t gummy feeling while stirring.

Use the pasta spoon, scoop a portion and then twirl this with tongs inside the concave of the spoon to make it into a mound. Carefully plate.
Garnish with remaining cheese, parsley, and additional pepper to taste.

Simple dish, but tastes great. Usually accompany it with a vibrant side/garnish like spinach or julienne carrots.

My shopping list has been updated. Thanks! This sounds delicious and I can't wait to prepare it!
