Yes, they do that. We have a very long, straight road with no traffic lights on it. It's been reduced to 40 mph. Now, it is clearly marked with flashing signs, other signs that show your speed, 45 mph painted right on the street, ect; but hardly anyone goes that slow. I've seen many people ticketed on it. I just crawl my ass in the slow lane and listen to the radio..

The LEZ ( Low Emission Zone ) tax is another one that has now been introduced to cities.
