It looks nothing of the sort. The objective of a blood eagle is to carefully hack the rib bones from the spine and cut around vital organs to minimize blood loss and prevent piercing of the lungs and airways. To puncture any of the respiratory system right from the get go ruins the whole effect of blood eagling. It is imperative that the lungs and airways remain fully intact until death.
