I read about those young folk in Laos with the methanol poisoning. The hospitals didn't even have the gear to test for it so treated them for ecstasy. With fatal results.

He's gonna die. All those areas where the skin burned off are going to get massively infected/colonized by maggots, especially in the wet tropical climate they're probably in, sounds like Brazil.
