I loved Manhunt. I could never get past the scene where you have to use a magnet-crane to remove a fridge from a blocked doorway, while endless goons spawn and shoot at you with nailguns....

Speaking of violent Playstation games, the Tenchu series of Stealth/Murder games are pretty good too.

Manhunt was pretty intense. The best one I remember satisfying that niche was an older title 2005 punisher game. Seriously, that game was awesome and incredibly violent...
