Once encrypted you are fucked. They usually do as they say and send you the key after you pay. Sucks but sometimes life isn’t fair.

Anyone saying they can recover your encrypted files without the key is lying unless there is a cloud or other unencrypted backup they know about.

I'm no expert but I would say try completely removing whatever memory your boot drive is on the install a new memory with a fresh os install. It sucks but hopefully you can start fresh at least.
