Wealthy oil Hier E.L. Doheny Jr. Shot and killed his personal secretary Theodore Plunkett here. Soon after, E.L. poured a glass of whiskey then shot himself in the head. The cause of this remains unknown with many speculations to this day.

This property was the location of an attack that left two dead and one wounded. The culprit was suspected to be Texas oil barron T. Cullen Davis, the husband of wounded victim Priscilla Childers. Davis was tried and acquitted for the murders and they remain unsolved.

On August 15, 1914, former employee Julian Carlton of owner Frank Lloyd Wright attacked and murdered seven people with an axe on the property. Wright was not present at the estate when the murders took place.

Darlie Routier was found guilty of murdering her two sons, five and six year old Damon and Devon by stabbing them muliple times in their sleep. She was sentence to death and claims her innocence to this day.

Likely you know this to be the house where gore queen Jeff Dahmer committed his first murder in as well as grew up in. Steven Hicks was murdered with a barbell, flesh dissolved in acid, and bones crushed and scattered among the property.

June 4, 2008, Travis Alexander was shot, Stabbed, and throat slit by on and off again Girlfriend, Jodi Arias. She claimed self defense but was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.

On April 2, 1965 Broadway and film actor Thomas C. Neal shot and killed his third wife Gale Bennett.

Notorious serial killer John Wayne Gacy killed thirty three boys and young men on this property. Twenty six of the victims were buried under the crawlspace. The house was eventually demolished with a new home built on the land.

Lawyer Tom Capano shot and killed girlfriend Anne Marie Fahey on this property and with the assistance of brother Gerry who had a boat, stuffed her body into a cooler and dumped it into the ocean. Capano shot the cooler so it would sink but it was found empty by a fisherman on July 4, 1996.

October 12, 1978, home owners Ed and Sophia Friendly along with their housekeeper Frances Williams were Gunned down by an unknown assailant. It's known as the first triple homicide in Palm Springs history. Despite its history many actors and actresses have resided in the residence.

November 13, 1974 Ronald Defoe killed six members of his family in this house on Ocean Ave. He was high on drugs at the time and later said "once I started I just couldn't stop". The incident has inspired many films and books with the house considered being the most "haunted house" in America.

December 26, 1996 Jonbenet Ramsey was found strangled in the basement of the home. No signs of forced entry were present and investigators and numerous others suspect the parents were involved. The case remains unsolved.
