As an adult ... have you ever watched a kid movie or cartoon that actually made you cry? but you never admitted it.

animation does not always mean "Made for kids"
Of course not.
I remember inmy youth i liked those Animations they had on MTV, like "Aeon Flux" "The Maxx" and so on
Yeah I used to sneak down the hall and meet up in the loungeroom with my older sister and her friends back in the early 90's and we'd watch SBS all night (here in Australia) was before the internet days .. we'd watch Aeon Flux and Maxx and a bunch of other stuff then stay up all night on a Saturday watching all night music videos from the 80's. As an older adult these days I waste a whole lot of money buying stupid shit like Box sets of prince albums and DVD box sets that remind me of the good ol days . It's because those days were absolutely special !

I always admit to crying, especially after stepping on a LEGO® or stubbing my little toe, destroying the toenail and rendering it into a bloody stump of painful flesh that takes weeks to heal!

Allergies are the worst for me however. I cry from those by merely waking up. Speaking of up, Up (2009) was one of those films, Bambi (1942), too.

I raised my daughter on my own as a single Dad.. I'll save the shit details - however - (and she's older now, got herself a boyfriend and moved in with him and all that shenanigans) .. Over the years I have watched hundreds of cartoons, Disney shows , animated movies etc... Tons of girl stuff like barbie and such. I's a DUTY as a Dad of a little girl .. I think. The other day I watched a movie I never saw before. It was an animated thing someone said I should give a look at. It was made using a sea shell and putting a googly eye on it and making a whole movie of it. Normally I would be a cynical smart ass and make fun of it , but, strangely.. I was emotionally touched by the story. I got thinking ... how just a simple cartoon or animated Disney movie can hit me in the feels so much - even worse when I least expect it. The part in the movie where it triggered memories of my own life struggles ... it's fucking amazing how movies can do that. I am interested to hear other people's opinions , experiences with this. Have you ever watched a cartoon movie or some children's movie and held back the tears cos it hits the FEELS so much? I think there's a special formula, like matching the vibe of the music with everything - it's like a weird Disney "Cry Hypnosis" for grown ups. or maybe the story just triggers shit we hide inside a lot. Anyway , was curious to get other's thoughts on it. What was the movie that triggered you? or what was the scene? that gave you BIG feels?

La Bamba made me cry. The end of movie.

Always touched by animated scenes even cartoon shorts in YT, but then I get concerned because I don't have the same empathy towards people in real life it's much much less, so... Idk if that's normal 🤦🏻‍♀️

All dogs go to heaven, when Burt Reynolds said goodbye to the little girl killed by her father..

I cry more at movies in general now that I’m an adult compared to when I was a child, animated kids films included. I cry every time I watch Kung Fu Panda 1 + 2, especially because of the music score? They just make me weirdly emotional

gets me everytime

Yes. I was in College when they showed Lady and the Tramp. I did choke up when I thought the brave little Scothterrier was drowned by the run away carriage. As a kid, I cried when I thought Pinocchio was drowned after being spewed out by the whale. Then the magic fairy appeared and resurrected him into a real boy.

My little pony. Never watched it as a kid but watching it as an adult reminds me that I never had a childhood. It brings all of my mommy issues to the front of my mind. I fucking hate my life.
