The cop car wasn't far enough out to get hit though. The car doing the rear-ending is most at fault. He obviously wasn't paying much attention beyond his own bumper. If he was paying better attention he should have already been slowing down in anticipation of the car in front slamming on his brakes or the cop car tearing out in front of them. He should have noticed the cop car edging out from further back and been prepared in case any of that were to happen.Its fault of cop. No cops cant pass on redlight when signs off.
