Since this hasn't been updated....the bodies were found in a well 3 miles from where they were surfing/camping. They apparently interrupted some locals trying to steal the wheels from the Colorado. All three were then shot in the head, and, like a bad Dateline, a girlfriend of one of the killers found a stolen phone and started using it.
