thats why i always hang out against the wall or walk near the wall if i can help it. as soon as i walk thru them turn styles. the eyes in back of my head are more aware than the ones in front! and you might be surprised (or not) to hear this. but you know what the biggest danger in the subway system is?
the homeless.
amtrack came out with new trains a few years ago. they now look old. nothing special. theyre still crowded and over crowded. and there used to be a bar car. that was done away with about 10yrs ago.

id take it over any train ride that NYC has to offer!
ever ride the NYC transit system?
I took a Yankee Clipper after a game with Freddy "Sez" Schuman and spoke with him about the Yankees until he disembarked near his home Uptown! This was back in '06. Good times!

Oh, there's plenty of crazies to be sure, but they're everywhere. I've seen crazies on the L in Chicago, on the Metrorail in Miami, MARTA in Atlanta, and the Metro Rail in L.A., too. I never had any trouble, though. They were crazy, but not that crazy!
