The energy at 200 yds is still 2,062 ft-lbs, that's a lot of energy to dissipate to nothing through a human neck, physics just doesn't allow it, anything with momentum wants to keep following its trajectory until it meets a stronger force to stop/slow it down, I can't see the human neck doing that, at, say, 800 yds, maybe, the ft-lbs will have dropped off considerably. Now that this shooting is being dissected & slo-mo is easier to see, the hydrostatic shock of the bullet entering the body is right in front of us, so we see in Charlie what we don't see in other shootings, it happens to any human that gets tagged with high velocity, we just don't see it in the slo-mo as we have here, googling up slo-mo shots on things like fruit will show ripples going through it as the bullet hits, worth the look.

I saw this map of the shooters position... and some ideas:

• 130 yards: not a long shot by any means.
• nice long unobstructed view down the rows of the rotunda and right to Kirk. Now that's taken some recon before hand. That shows someone who can plan.
• He was far enough away that he was able to exit without being caught or seen, as far as we know. Is he just lucky or is this a pro hit from someone who doesnt want this guy in the running for president next time round?
• And who would benifit from that?
