Mine are red, white, and black, as i find them to be the most strikingly harmonious colors out there...or maybe i read that in one of the books i read.

A nice, rich, deep purple goes well with gold or silver. Black and white are mediums, though I do find your combination stunning, I'm not really disciplined enough to stick with those kinds of limits, though I'm working on it. I remember my mother once told me, purple and red clash, and should never be worn together? I actually like purple and red, but it has to be the right hues of each color. Some people even choose the color of their pets to match their decor, that to me is insane. I also love purple and turquoise, it's actually hard to choose, so long as it isn't brownish in tone, I'm good.
