Its not just carting your food to your table. Its a hard job. Its an exhausting job. And its a thankless job. You do realize wait staff make less than minimum wage before tips?

Customarily and regularly....its an average over time and a tip percentage is assumed...not guaranteed. Have you ever even known a waitress? Ask one how it actually works.

They deliver all the shit you buy, stock your store shelves. They are what make everything thats comfortable in your life comfortable.

Bringing me my food is not worth extra money. It is your fucking job. Her employer doesn’t pay her much because he knows she is not worth much.

When I go to very expensive restaurants, I would really rather not have to even speak to the hired help. If I was allowed to get my own food, it would be one less person near my food, which is always a good thing.
Think about it. The waitress takes away used dishes at the table then fills water glasses at other tables. When I sit down to eat my hands are freshly washed. The waitress never has clean hands.

Their time is valuable but not hers? I do believe they were the ones who were unable or unwilling to do this task themselves. Thats why they hired someone to do it for them. True. Jobs are limited to those who aren't educated. She didn't seem uneducated to me. She spoke eloquently. It was the other two that couldnt comprehend what was going on. even as she was explaining what she was doing and explained how they will recieve their refund. It was still too much for them to understand. You don't want to tip people then do the task yourself. If it were you personally delivering the groceries would you be okay with not receiving a tip? Im pretty sure If they were the one doing the delivery they would expect a tip. People dont owe you anything because you have money. Oh and about their valuable time.... if it were THAT valuable they wouldn't bother arguing with the help. Someone else would be handling that. At least I would think so. But then again I don't have a problem saying thank you and showing appreciation when someone does something for me. I was raised to be respectful of someone ESPECIALLY if they are helping me out. Gretchen, stop trying to make "Golfer Americans" happen. It's not going to happen.
I will say it again. My time is too valuable for such trivial tasks. So I hired dumb uneducated people or niggers to do them for me. I am not obligated to tip you, but you are obligated to give me the merchandise I paid for. If you want more money either get a better job or take it up with your employer.
You can argue about the tip all you want, but in the end you will just be fired. I will get a refund plus a voucher for a future purchase.
