Yes, that Jay Leno. Okay, hear me out. You all remember that magician Arsenio Hall who was a big deal in the 90s and early 2000s? Arsenio was supposed to perform a magic trick involving a blade and a female guest on Jay Leno's special "blackout" episode on September 3, 2001. Apparently, the trick must have not transpired as Arsenio intended because for a very brief moment, hundreds of thousands if not millions of viewers saw the female guest yelp in pain and start swearing at Arsenio before the broadcast cut to commercials. This particular incident got memory-holed until' fairly recently when a hunt for the then-lost original broadcast transpired.
But this February, someone posted the full broadcast on YouTube. And the debate is not over whether or not the episode ever existed, but whether the incident was cleverly staged or if it was legitimate with the woman likely suffering very minor injuries. And a third theory, the woman's screams were real but exaggerated for dramatic effect or whatever.
