Does anyone know a murderer? or have had an encounter with one?

My father was involved in a drug deal gone wrong while in high school. Someone got shot and killed in the car, but nobody got caught.

On a much darker note, and based on how he treated her, my father most likely killed my stepmother and staged it as suicide, so he could run to a different state with his new wife and my half brother ( his mom was my stepmom). Had years of intense therapy that made me remember abuse I endured as a little kid. The man is a charismatic demon.

And if the family lore is to be believed, I'm related to Heimi Weiss, and that's why the family name had to be changed to get some distance from its notoriety.

Not really a murderer, but one of my paternal cousins is in prison for trying to stab his mum to death for money (he's a drug addict).

I came across a carpenter's shop that had sprung up in the suburbs whole visiting my now late uncle.

The show was threadbare but the work seemed of an acceptable quality so I invited the carpenter to install a door in an archway between two rooms in my home.

Lo and behold I'm on this guy's motorcycle and we are chatting , and he mentions nonchalantly about having killed someone long back in the past over something.

So we get to this wood supplier and this guy chooses the most fragrant and relatively high end hardwood of my country for the base of this door and strikes up a bargain with the supplier.

The work turn out to be lacklustre and the door comes off it's hinges and in the subsequent years I chop up that piece of fragrant hardwood and when I burn it it is better than any incense it's been almost a decade. The carpenter shop is long gone and the guy was probably using a fake name and business card. In retrospect plenty of things seemed off about him.

I knew someone who was a nasty piece of work, told me many stories of stabbing people, bashing them with metal poles till bones have broken, He split someone’s skull open with knuckle dusters. The most memorable story is that he ran into someone’s house and stabbed everyone inside the house because on person in the family was a pedophile so they all got stabbed
Send videos of him to Quentin Tarantino

I'm new here. This is my first reply. As part of my training, I have had to meet several murderers for the purpose of forensic psychiatric assessments. One of them was technically a serial killer. Killed 2 unrelated people in a span of 3 days because of commanding auditory hallucinations. Most of them have severe psychiatric illnesses like Schizophrenia or other forms of psychosis, personality change after brain injuries, substance related intoxication etc.
Most did not quality for an insanity defense however. Only 3 of the cases I saw were definitely malingering psychiatric illness. One of which was noteworthy who strangulated his 2 young daughters because of his wife not giving birth to a son.
He was putting up a bad show. The daily Mental Status Examinations were jokingly inconsistent. He was painfully narcissistic and was convinced that he was fooling us. He was working in the U.S for a few years in thr past and frequently would say we were quacks and he wants the FBI and American experts to be brought in. He is under trial now. His younger daughter was just 3 years old. Here's hoping the fucker gets what he deserves. I feel like my team and I have done our part.
As you may have guessed, I am from a shitty 3rd world country. But we take our job seriously.
You don't seem qualified enough. Please move to an industrialised country as the harm you can do there would be checked. Here it is unchecked.

my aunt was murdered by her husband when she said she was going to leave him. never saw him after the incident though as he turned the gun on himself within a couple hours

My aunt shot her ex in the chest. She walked away free of charge as she apparently was abused by him. Sucks to die by your own gun..🙃

While I've never met someone who actually killed someone, my cousin is on prison for an attempted murder that she committed when I was in fifth grade. I was never really close enough with her to notice anything different about her, or maybe I was just too young & naive.
BOO Muhahahaha

There was a shooting down the block from me years ago and I was at the store getting some beers and walked out there was a guy standing there and ask if I had a cig so I gave him one and started talking the next day I found out the guy was the shooter and killed his GF and her mom

It's not exciting story with some like serial killer, but my grandma used to work as a waitress. Her boss was an asshole alcoholic and for example whipped waitresses legs with nettles, so they wouldn’t "chase boys". Grandma left the job, but she later heard that her ex boss killed a man during an argument.
Also, my grandpa's brother hanged himself but there were theories that his exwife killed him with a lover and staged a suicide.

A step father of an old friend of mine shot his wife (my friends mother) dead in cold blood while she was sleeping. I've seen him several times while visiting my friend and I found him a bit weird and quiet, he didn't talk much. Besides that he wasn't home much. He obviously already had a very bad marriage and his kids didn't like him either, probably taking sides with mom. We all know what can happen next under such pressure and discomfort. He shot her and went to jail for it...
It's always been said to "Watch out for the quiet ones"

Strade my beloved!

I knew a guy back in the 90's, who did 8 years in prison, for killing a guy at a Bar one night.
Got in a fight, lost (other guy started it) ... went home, got a gun, came back.
When the Bully came at him again - later that night, he shot and killed him. (Parking lot)

Lost his attempt to get off, based on Self-Defense, because he Had gone home, brought
a gun back = (premeditated.) Other than that, seemed like a nice guy. Ruined his life, forever.
