An electrical businessman named Mehedi Hasan Gani (42) has died after being hit by a speeding truck in Tarakanda, Mymensingh.
Mehedi Hasan Gani, an electrical trader from Kashiganj Bazar, was killed by a truck while standing on the (Netrokona-Mymensingh) road in front of the big mosque in Kashiganj Bazar of the upazila at 7:30 am on January 28 (Tuesday).
In this regard, Shyamganj Highway Police In-charge Sanjay Chakraborty told Daily Inkilab that Mehedi Hasan Gani, son of Hafez Md. A. Gafur, an electrical trader in Kashiganj Bazar, of Dayarampur village of Biska Union in Tarakanda Upazila, was hit by a recklessly speeding truck while he was standing on the side of the road at around 7:30 am. Mehedi Hasan died on the spot.
The truck driver and the driver of the truck have been arrested in this incident. The body of the deceased Mehdi Hasan Ghani has been handed over to his relatives upon their request. Legal proceedings are underway.
