This Wednesday afternoon (05), the Fire Department was called to respond to a fire in a residence at Rua Presidente Rodrigues Alves, No. 150, Presidente – Matozinhos. The accident resulted in severe burns to a man, who needed to be rescued urgently.
According to information released by the Fire Department, a gas cylinder would have exploded and started a fire in the house. Neighbors reported that the victim would have suffered 3rd degree burns and the doctor who performed the service reported that the man had burns over 90% of his body.
Due to the seriousness of the case, the medical team at the Matozinhos UPA, responsible for the first assistance, contacted the Air Operations Battalion (BOA) so that the victim could be urgently transferred to the João XXIII Hospital, in Belo Horizonte. The aircraft used was the Archangel helicopter, which landed next to the Emergency Care Unit, where the man was being treated.
