GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB/Gray News) – A University of Florida Gators fan fell from the top of a traffic light pole as crowds filled the roadway celebrating the team’s championship on Monday night.

Video of the daring stunt shows a fan climbing on top of the pole at University Avenue and Buckman Drive/17th Street.

After bouncing up and down on the pole, he attempts to stand, then falls as a crowd watches.

A fan who watched the stunt told WCJB the daredevil seemed OK after the fall. Fire rescue officials say the man’s injuries weren’t life-threatening.
