SINOP, (June 3, 2024) — A woman identified as Bruna Oliveira, 24 years old, was murdered with blows of a sharp weapon by her partner, identified as Wellington Honorato dos Santos, 32, in the early hours of Sunday (02), in Sinop (500 km from Cuiaba).
After the brutal crime, the suspect tied a chain around the victim's neck and dragged her through the streets of the city until he dumped the body in a forested area at the back of the Forest Park neighborhood. The remains were only found hours after the crime, in a ditch.
Part of the crime was caught by cameras monitoring the set of kitchenettes where the femicide occurred. From the images, it is possible to see the moment the criminal leaves the place on a motorcycle, while dragging the body of the victim.
Criminal expert Andre Furio informed that the victim was fatally shot. “The crime is barbaric because of the entrainment right, actually a stabbing by melee weapon, then he passed the chain around her neck and dragged for three blocks, he said, and then he spawned the body in the forest reserve mat”, he explained.
The body was removed to the Legal Medical Institute (IML), where it will undergo necropsy examination, which will identify the victim.
The boyfriend fled but was apprehended the next day. An investigation has been launched and the motive for the crime is already being investigated by the Civil Police.
