A woman was the victim of a shooting murder after an argument in a convenience, in the early hours of Friday, 19, in the city of Itapecuru-Mirim.
The victim was identified as Layne Melo de Sousa dos Santos, 27 years old.
Her boyfriend, Marcos Diogo Cabral, was also shot in the neck during the crime and was taken to a hospital in São Luís.
Witnesses reported to the police that the fight began when the couple, who was at a party at the Joyce post, tried to return some beer chips bought to the suspect's mother-in-law, who worked at the establishment's cashier.
However, the request was denied, resulting in a discussion.
Shortly after, the couple left the place by motorcycle, but were followed by the woman's son-in-law on another motorcycle.
He then fired several times at the victims.
Layne's companion fell off the bike immediately, while she skidded with the vehicle to the vicinity of a clinic in the center of the municipality, already seriously injured after being hit by at least two shots.
