movies Has anyone seen Midsommar?

Midsommar isnt that one of those films the typical mind fuckery in the middle of nowhere type shit......... i wanna ask if anyone seen Bugonia keep seeing it mentioned here an there cos its "Emma stones return to excellence" or something 🤷‍♂️

Yep, as all have said it's pretentious dog shite. A few moments of unconvincing gore is your reward for two-plus hours of watching insufferable twats do insufferable twat stuff. What's worse is it's well-regarded by the arthouse set, so if you call it out for the waste of time it is it's just because 'you're too dumb to understand it properly'

Which surprises me because that's up there as a top 5 horror movie (Hereditary)
Massively disappointing. It rides on the coat tails of Hereditary, that's all.

A prequel to Hereditary, lead by Joan from the cult, would be awesome.

Yea its one of the best recentish horror movies I've seen. Rosemarys Baby was probably the first horror movie that really scared me, most likely because I was like 9 and it was one of the first I remember watching, but also because of the occult aspect which was really well done

Rosemary's baby was the pioneer of horror, way ahead of its time.
