You beat me to it by alot.

My AI browser said this too:

The image shows a security camera recording of the M7.7 Myanmar earthquake that occurred on March 28, 2025, at 12:50 p.m. local time. The earthquake struck near Mandalay and was caused by strike-slip faulting along the Sagaing Fault.

I never heard of that fault line but, it seems more active than San Andreas.

I've thankfully experienced nothing greater than a 5.3 (& lesser tremors 4 or less) but, it shook the walls & woke my mum up. Nothing was damaged structure wise. I'm surprised you've never felt a 7. living in California. I think they occur pretty often but, maybe that's up north. 🤷‍♀️

I was robbed of the experience when one did happen because I grew up across from railroad tracks. The shaking felt just like a commuter train flying past at 45mph. It woke me up because there was just the shaking and no train sound. It felt odd that I didn't hear a train but earthquake didn't cross my mind. I fell back to sleep and found out in the morning it was a very minor quake. Most people didn't notice it.

How do you know it wasn't a ghost train? JK. It must be unusual to live so close to the tracks. I grew up next to the water but when we first moved to that house it took some time to get used to the sounds, the fog & it was kind of a super creepy house, at first.

I was on the third floor of the main library in Charleston, SC when a high ring pitch sound pierced through my head (notice the girl covering her ears). Then it was awkward to walk as I was trying to get to computer area. Then everyone was running out the building into the middle of the street. I just stayed and looked out the window as the building swayed. Nothing major happened. I logged onto the computer and did research for a paper.
