He's Gone.....

My Daddy took his last breath today at 4:10PM CT.

My Sister sent me a video a him doing the Death Rattle breathing.

No, I won't share the video.

I responded telling her to play my voice recording for him


"I love you so much, Daddy. It's okay if you're scared. So are we, but you can let go. I love you so much, Daddy."

My Sister said that seconds after the voice message played, he took his last breath.

Im not sure what to do but I'm watching the sunset outta my window and I can hear is Mama Cass singing:

"Sweet Dreams Till Sunbeams Find You."

There's only like one subsection of Amish people that actually behave like the layman thinks they behave like, the rest use electricity, have generators, their kids smuggle phones and tablets all the time. I forgot that there are certain ones okay with using electricity. I once went into a shop that some mennonites ran. They had bomb ass turkey sandwiches- fresh cut in front of you with whatever topping on your sandwich. I like the lettuce, banana pepper, jalapeño, tomato and salt with pepper. It was always refreshing. They can definitely cook. I was so confused when I saw all their LED lights and up to date terminals and such.

so sorry for your loss! It's hard to not to be selfish and wishing him to still be around and in your life. But it's best to let him go where there's no more suffering or pain. My grandfather passed on Thanksgiving Day in 1976. He was able to pass at home and we got the call we needed to come say our farewells . We were approx 25 miles away so we rushed to be with him. He held on till we arrived and I kissed his forehead and let him know I was there and how much I loved him. At that exact moment he drew his final breath and passed peacefully . Though it was 50 years ago and I was only 10 years old I still remember it vividly and it was definitely a defining moment in my life. Though it sucked to lose him I was definitely pleased that he was no longer in pain and went out with dignity and on his own terms. Stay strong and honor him for the impact he exerted on your life.
