Serious How many GG members can drive a vehicle equipped with a manual transmission?

I can. The worst one i ever drove was an old water tanker truck with a 10 speed manual when I was in the military. None of the other tards in my unit knew how to drive it

The Manual transmission in my opinion will give you total control of your own vehicle.

The article continues on how manual transmissions are obsolete. I disagree entirely.

"Rapid evolution within the automotive industry is simultaneously a nursery for new technology and a graveyard for obsolete equipment. Case in point: as we await the arrival of true self-driving cars with advanced systems, other features that were once standard are gradually disappearing."

"Such is the case with the manual gearbox, which is becoming a rarity in many markets. And it's not just North America, where automatic transmissions have long dominated. Information from JATO Dynamics shows that this type of transmission is losing popularity everywhere."

"Europe is a great example of this transition. In 2000, 89 percent of all new cars registered were equipped with a manual. In some countries such as Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, and Portugal, that number exceeded 95 percent. Norway and Switzerland were exceptions, where approximately 25 percent of new cars were automatics."

In the US it’s called "stick shift" slang.
Of course I can change gear manually. I'm neither a retard, nor am I American.

I could. I never learned the column mounted shifter, also known as ‘three on the tree’
I bought a 71 c10 back in 2000 with one. Never drove a manual in my life. But I learned from there. Bought a 2001 1500 v6 with manual. And I have a 2010 ss Camaro with 6spd.

Ppl are fucking dumb. They buy shit that looks good but doesn’t even last 100m miles. Manual transmissions are cats meow

I hate automatic transmissions, even the so called good ones dont know when they should shift, you have no control over the revs and engine braking, transfering weight in the corners by downshifting, it just sucks.

Presenting the newest Saw trap: Manual Transmission.

Get from point a to point b while avoiding the deadly obstacles, and car exploding.

To answer your question, Yes I know how, but only drove one like once, so I'd be rusty.

What year is this? In my day the question was “how many people have driven an automatic?

My first experience was a push button Chrysler. Cool setup. The buttons were like the old AM radio buttons. They were vacuum operated and you could hear hissing and clunking as you pushed them.

No steering lock. No seatbelts. No airbags. Steel dashboard and a steering column that would go through your chest in a crash. AM radio standard. FM optional. No stereo, just one speaker in the dash. Cigarette lighter and ashtray standard.

Somehow we survived.

I dated a guy who was useless and he couldn't drive a car with a manual transmission.. I got pulled one night and the cop asked him why he wasn't driving and when I told him he couldn't drive a stick shift the cop told him he wasn't a man and what the fuck was wrong with him.. I didn't think it was that serious, but looking back it was probably a red flag I should have considered??

I can, been doing it since I learned to drive, in the nineties. It's very easy, it becomes an automatism, you don't need to think about it, like a second nature - and if you slip up the abused gear box will snarl to let you know!

Not only can i, it doesn't have to be on the floor I can drive it on the tree. clutch or no clutch no problem. Syncros were out on my trans. I learned how to find the sweet spot while driving lol

I drive a stick-shift and I drive only cars build before 2010.
Cars build after that are not worth looking at.
