I bet she learned something from that. Not that she would need the knowledge anymore. That's it with work.

Normally this kind of machines have ,for example, two security buttons you have to push and hold and then step on the go switch.
But that slows down the production process by a few seconds for every piece.
I've worked on a cutter years ago in a steel factory that had these features. You could cheat these buttons (at least one of them) but nobody did that; we weren't paid by the piece, so speed doesn't really matter.
