I have never seen a video where they didn't get hit by the train, leading me to believe the best way to get famous filming yourself in front of a train is to die doing it. So if it was his intention not to die doing it he was setting himself up for failure regardless. Dead he succeeds but can't enjoy the fame, alive he doesn't get hit by the train and nobody gives a shit, he is actually worth more to society dead as the video of it happening is at least mildly entertaining.
