A man identified only as Diogo, 37 years old, was shot dead on Thursday afternoon (20), on Rua Pelicano, in the Capela Velha neighborhood, in Araucária, in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba. The crime occurred quickly and extremely violently, while the victim arrived at the location accompanied by his mother and daughter.

According to information gathered at the scene, Diogo had gotten out of his car to visit relatives when he was surprised by three criminals who arrived in a Fiat Mobi. Two of them got out armed and fired several shots at the man. The driver remained in the vehicle to ensure their escape.

After the attack, the trio left the crime scene at high speed. The vehicle used by the suspects was located shortly afterwards, abandoned on the outskirts of the city, according to the Municipal Guard (GM) of Araucária.

Diogo had several run-ins with the police, raising suspicions that the crime may be related to settling scores. However, the exact motive will still be investigated by the Civil Police. The victim's mother and daughter witnessed the attack but were not injured.
