Early Metallica = best Metallica.

Fuck what anyone says they sold out and turned into a stadium act for waving your lighter around during nothing else matters
Gotta agree. But the only song that makes me want to break out the lighter is Fade To Black. What a visceral song.

🎵hello 80s my old friend, we've come to see you once again.🎵
Fuck, don't get me started on the Disturbed cover of Simon & Garfunkel's classic....

I'd say some of you grew up around the sametime as me.I started out listening to thrash, like 10 years old.But it wasn't till the mid 1990's i started going to gigs.I saw Hatebreed in 1995 before, they became popular,in a small town of Grampian,Pennsylvania. Alot of the bands were coming from New York,Jersery, and Connecticut. I remember bands like Earthcrisis,Chimaira,Redline,Disassociate,Tension,Caste,Strife,Element,Bloodrust,E-Town Concrete, and sooo many others

Cliff Burton, pulling teeth and Orion. That's the pinnacle of Metallica for me.
Hop on YouTube and listen to Cliff's isolated tracks for The Thing That Should Not Be and Sanitarium.

I think the saddest thing in Metal is Motley Crue thinking they contributed anything to it. They're like Def Leppard and Poison, glammy cock-rock
I'm not sure that MC even qualifies as metal. Hard(ly) rock at best.

Ive seen both live, metallica during their black tour and a few years back, right after jason newstead left. And megadeth here recently.
Both band still kick ass in their later years. The new bassist lit a fire under metallicas ass, they were playing all their heavy shit last I saw them.
And the guitar work at the megadeth show was fucking amazing!

"Angry again" speaks to me and consistency becomes more relevant as I age. Considering Metallica, the only song I've ever enjoyed from their library is "whiskey in the jar" which is a cover...
"Angry Again" is also one of my favorites. That song was made specifically for the soundtrack of the movie "The Last Action Hero" (starring Arnold Schwarzenegger)

That soundtrack also featured original songs by Alice In Chains, AC/DC, Anthrax, and Queensryche, Cypress Hill and others...

Now, wait a second. Metallica's LEAST selling album still outsold Megadeth's BEST selling album.

Additionally, I've been to well over a hundred concerts of each band, and Metallica definitely throws a better show.
Uhh hun, in a world where 2chainz and imagine dragons have gone platinum 10+ times each you're gonna tell me the sales mean something is good...?
