Yes, I saw that article, and the other one. Outrage is misdirected Xtina. It was domestic violence that spanned over several years, orders of protection given and then revoked, and a woman that made several complaints of death threats that weren't followed up on by authorities. Whatever systems that Germany may have to protect women from domestic violence failed, and it seems like she did everything right. That system of failures should be the real focus of outrage. Estranged spouse kills wife and child, big fucking deal. In America he would have blown their heads off with a shot gun and no one would give a shit unless it was an illegal doing it.
Stabbing a baby in the neck is like stabbing a water filled plastic bag. It obviously was quite terrible but the voice on the video didn't get close enough to accurately make it a factual beheading. The video does however show that there were a lot of witnesses and even an old woman walked up to get a good look while the baby was being worked on. The video has been available online since the day after, and judging by my own eyes, it doesn't appear as if they were trying to hide or cover up anything. The scene isn't even secured.
