A motorcyclist died on Monday morning (17) after a serious accident on Avenida Imperial, in the Afogados neighborhood of Recife, Pernambuco. According to witness accounts, the victim was traveling along the road when he hit the rear of a parked car. Immediately afterwards, he fell onto the road and was run over by a passing truck.

The victim was identified as José Milton, who worked as a motorcycle taxi driver for an app. People in the area tried to contact family members and asked for help in publicizing his identity in local groups, as the app was still active on his cell phone.

Rescue teams were called, but the motorcyclist did not survive his injuries and died at the scene. The area was cordoned off by the police, who will investigate the circumstances of the accident, including the position of the parked car and the dynamics of the collision.

The body was taken to the Forensic Medical Institute, and the case will remain under investigation.
