To the Military Police, one of the suspects, a 16-year-old teenager, informed when apprehended that the elderly man who was shot was not the target of the shots. Furthermore, he stated that the motivation for the shooting was a war between rival criminal factions, as he belongs to a faction of São Paulo origin and the alleged targets belong to one of Rio de Janeiro origin.
Until the last update of this report, g1 was unable to locate the teenager's defense so that he could take a position.
To g1 , the Goiás State Emergency Hospital Dr. Valdemiro Cruz (Hugo) reported that the elderly man, who was in serious condition and admitted to the unit, died this Friday morning (1) after failing to resist his injuries.
