Owls have very fast reflexes which they need to catch mice etc. They see movement and react instinctively.

I heard of a case years ago where a woman had an owl she had rescued when injured and was holding it like this guy when her eye moved and the owl went for it with his claws and blinded her in one eye.

Got to be careful with these guys, they're apex predators not baby chicks...
