“DSM-I (1952) – Homosexuality is listed as a sociopathic personality disturbance. DSM-II (1974) – Homosexuality is no longer listed as a category of disorder. The diagnosis is replaced with the category of “sexual orientation disturbance”. Gender Dysphoria is still in there though. They just tweaked the names to make the snowflakes feel a little less triggered and offended. In the DSM-5 most things that affect your life in such a negative way can be categorized as a disorder. Well…looking around I’d say it’s affecting daily lives quite badly. It’s dysphoria. Although what to do about it is a tricky thing to navigate for a number of reasons.

Peru Walks Back Anti-Trans Guidance in Health System
Peru’s Ministry of Health has clarified that trans identities are not mental health conditions, walking back a heavily criticized presidential decree in May that portrayed trans identities as diagnosable in in the Essential Health Insurance Plan (Plan Esencial de Aseguramiento en Salud, PEAS).
