And of course the chink driver sees what is happening but doesn't give a shit about helping but goes to drive off because a slight gap in the traffic has appeared ahead of him and he doesn't want to be late to his 5 cups of rice a day job at a WalMart supplier factory.

I'm torn between guessing whether that was Chinese driver error, Chinese vehicle transmission building error, or the scooter driver was faking. All are highly plausible.
