An unidentified woman died after being hit by a Commuterline Electric Train (KRL) in the Abesin area, Cibogor Village, Central Bogor District, Bogor City.
Bogor Tengah Police Chief, Commissioner Agustinus Manurung said that the incident occurred at 11.30 WIB.
According to witness statements, before the incident, the victim was walking on the Bogor-Jakarta Commuterline KRL track.
"The witness informed and shouted that there was a train from the direction of Bogor station," said the Police Chief on Wednesday (17/7/2024).
In addition, said Commissioner Agustinus, the Commuterline train had already honked, but the victim continued to walk on the rails, so the accident occurred.
"As a result of the incident, the victim suffered both legs from the upper thigh," he said.
After the incident, the victim was immediately taken to the hospital, but the victim had been declared dead.
