Poor design choice for the doors ... almost seems like an improvisation.

I used to drive trucks similar to this, the doors aren't really made to stay open. They latch shut but you have to use rope or something to get them to stay open.
Once I drove with a 14m frame when the back deck was only about 10m, just drove with the door open and used a HD ratchet to hold it against the frame

After watching it a few times (for my own amusement) I think they maybe did, it looks like it's gonna go a few times before it does but stops and springs back, might be held back with a tiny rusty chain or something.
